A
dumb waiter and two professional hitmen, no food left. A time when
friendship and obligation are put to a test. And one can only choose
one.
James
Lee's Tarantino-esque adaptation of The Dumb Waiter explores
the underlying subtleties of power struggle in a seemingly mundane
relationship between two professional hitmen waiting for instructions
at a secret rendezvous.
The Director
James Lee was last seen in Box of Delights and The Expat Comes To
Town (The Actors Studio) and Amir Muhammad's Lips to Lips. He also
made his directorial debut with Love Poems (The Actors Studio) in
1999, and is one of the brains behind the Chicken Parts series, an
experimental platform for emerging theatre practitioners.
His first
feature movie, Snipers, premiered on March 13th at The Actors Studio
Box.
