Nell
Ng
Nell has appeared in ‘Remain Standing’, ‘The Trees’, ‘Shakespeare
for Dummies’, ‘Little Red’, ‘A Flight Delayed’ and ICT’s ‘Merchant
of Venice’ and ‘Millennium Jump’. She speaks Bahasa Malaysia in
the characters of Ms Etta, Booker T, Scooter and Baby Bob in Barney

Patrick
Teoh
Actually, that is not true. I personally think that Nell is much
nicer. Patrick Teoh - retired business person, infamously absent
radio deejay, father, husband and out of work actor most of the
times. So, I am very glad to be playing with The Instant Cafe Theatre
gang once again. It is so much fun and it also means getting paid
which is nice for a change in the life of an out of work actor.

Shanthini
Venugopal
Shanthini is one of the pioneer members of Instant Cafe and is
still loving every minute of it. She can be seen as Beebe in the
Hollywood production of ‘Anna and the King’. Her voice is also
on radio and TV for voice-overs and jingles. She lives life to
the fullest, and the love of her life is Hariharan her 3 year
old son.

Arissa Abdullah
Maya’s talents were discovered by a voyeur one day whlie pursuing
a favourite pastime...singing in the shower. That voyer turned out
to be Jo Kukathas. Since then, Maya has performed for other voyeurs

Can Spit’, ‘Millennium Jump’ and ‘The Merchant of Venice’.

Chae
Lian
Chae Lian is thrilled to be continuing her incestuous working
relationship with her ‘Colourful Mixture’ co-star, Rashid Salleh.
This is their fourth consecutive project together following their
sit-com, ‘Charley’s Auntie’ (Actors Studio) and ‘No Exit’ (Rep
21). She is, however, sad that Joanna Bessey could not complete
their menage a trois this time. Chae Lian graduated from Carnegie
Mellon university in the USA with an Honours degree in Acting.
She has also trained with faculty from the Moscow Art Theatre
(Russia) and Breton Hall (UK).

Rashid
Salleh
Rashid is fast becoming a well-known face on local television with
credits that include ‘Koptiam’ and ‘Colourful Mixture’. In the space
of six months he has jumped from one theatre production to the next
- ‘The Merchant of Venice’ (Instant Cafe); ‘ Charley’s Auntie’ (Actors
Studio); and ‘No Exit’ (Rep 21). To end the year, he is delighted
to ‘Jump’ again with the rest of the gang at Instant Cafe. |
